Auction firm Aston Barclay has published its LCV desirability rankings for September, with two EVs entering the list for the first time.
The index takes into consideration web views prior to sale, number of physical and online sale bids, and sale price achieved as a percentage of CAP average.
Under this system, the Ford E-Transit topped the rankings for the month with a rating of 11.2, while the Maxus eDeliver 5 came seventh with a rating of 7.0.
Between these two models were the Toyota Hilux, Ford Transit Courier, Peugeot Boxer, Vauxhall Movano, and Isuzu D-Max, while the Ford Transit Custom, Ford Ranger, and Volkswagen Caddy completed the top ten.
LCV demand and prices generally are said by Aston Barclay to have improved during the last two months.
Chief customer officer Nick Thompson said: “The used LCV market sprang into life this summer when traditionally it is quiet, injecting real confidence into the market. We are seeing strong competition for LCVs, with many buyers snapping up vehicles in large batches.
“It was also pleasing to see a couple of electric vans appear in our September index. Electric vans look very good value now and for operators who work in a lower mileage back-to-base environment they represent an attractive option.”
