The firm is offering prospective buyers the chance to test drive vehicles for up to 10 days, which it claimed is particularly useful for small business van operators as it gives them the opportunity to try out the vehicle in a working environment to see if it fits their needs.

If the operator purchases the van then Hertz provides the test drive as a free rental. All test drives are provided at discounted rates and earn Nectar reward card points.

Hertz said that because it bulk buys new vehicles at sub-retail rates it is able to pass on significant savings to used vehicle customers.

The vehicles are showcased on: www.HertzRent2Buy.co.uk with details of mileage, colour and registration number. Discounted finance is also offered, according to Hertz.

The firm said all vehicles are fully serviced with many still under manufacturer’s warranty and with between 12,000 and 50,000 miles on the clock. Test drives are available from 106 Hertz branches across the UK.

Rui Ferreira (pictured), vice-president fleet remarketing for Hertz said: “We offer low mileage, high specification vehicles in excellent condition with meticulous maintenance records.  Customers have a unique, 10 day test drive option to determine if the vehicle suits their needs and lifestyle.”
