Kitchen appliance retailer Appliance City has taken on seven new Maxi-Low converted vans to support expansion plans.
The vans, which have been supplied by TOM Vehicle Rental, feature taller bodies than normal Maxi-Low vans as they need to carry large American fridges.
The bodies are housed on 3.5-tonne Vauxhall Movano chassis and have a total of 24 cubic metres load volume thanks to an internal height of 2,450mm and an internal length of 4.4 metres.
The contract hire deal includes repairs, servicing, maintenance and replacement vehicles should the Maxi-Lows break down.
“The new Maxicube vehicles are constructed from lightweight materials and offer greater volume and a huge payload of 1,250kg,” said Kevin Hare, operations director for Appliance City. “This is 25% more payload than our previous 3.5-tonne van fleet and these efficiencies support Appliance City’s strategy to lower CO2 emissions and reduce our carbon footprint.”
