Mercedes-Benz has revealed prices for its new Sprinter van, which arrives in showrooms in June.

The new model starts from £24,350 for the panel van, with chassis cabs starting from £23,730 and chassis crewcabs starting from £31,800 – all prices exclude VAT.

The range includes three wheelbases, four vehicle lengths, three roof heights, chassis, chassis crewcab, Tourers, and an all-new Tractor Head chassis specifically designed for motorhomes.

Four-cylinder and V6 turbocharged common rail diesel engines remain available along with a seven-speed automatic gearbox on rear-wheel drive models, and a nine-speed automatic gearbox on front-wheel drive models, which are being introduced to the Sprinter range for the first time.

The new Sprinter will feature the debut of Mercedes’ PRO connect system, which at launch will offer 18 connectivity services to drivers.

The new Sprinter also gets the Mercedes-Benz User Experience infotainment system, carried across from the company’s car range, operated via a standard 7in or optional 10.2in touchscreen.

DAB radio and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are standard, and integrated satnav is optional.

Safety systems include autonomous emergency braking which includes pedestrian detection, and Attention Assist drowsiness detection.

The Emergency Call system can contact rescue services in the event of an accident, and Rear Cross Traffic and Exit Alert monitor the rear of the vehicle, and can autonomously brake to avoid a collision.

In the event of an impact, the new Sprinter automatically applies its brakes to prevent secondary collisions.

Other standard features include automatic headlights, keyless start, and an adjustable multi-function steering wheel with touch control buttons.
