More than three-quarters of UK SMEs say developing a sustainable business model is a top priority, according to a survey by Mercedes-Benz Vans.
It found 77% were prioritising sustainability, while 70% said they believed they would achieve it.
In addition, 61% said they would consider stopping work with a business that did not meet environmental pledges.
More than 60% of those surveyed also said they were planning to switch to EVs, and almost 70% said they planned to introduce more digitalisation into their business model.
The survey of 500 SMEs was the latest edition of Mercedes’s quarterly Business Barometer research.
Mercedes-Benz Vans UK head of electric mobility Kevin Ferris said: “These figures show that Britain’s army of entrepreneurs are looking ahead positively, and are committed to doing their best to operate in tune with the environment. Here at Mercedes-Benz Vans we’re determined to offer the complete mobility solutions that will help them attain their objectives.”
