Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has announced the appointment of a new national sales manager.
Rob Holdcroft has taken on the role, replacing Iain Montgomery, who has left the brand.
Holdcroft moves from his previous position as VW’s sales operations manager, which he has held since June 2016.
He first joined VW Group in 2006, previously working within the TPS (Trade Parts Specialist) brand.
In his new role, Holdcroft will continue to report to head of sales operations James Douglas, and will be responsible for a team of five UK sales managers – Alan Slimon, Emile Moore, Kelly Brown, Martin Whelpton and Jim Wilberforce.
Holdcroft said: “A strong and dedicated commercial vehicle network is key to our success.
“I’m delighted to be taking on a really hands-on role, helping the network excel and ensuring our ‘Working With You’ brand promise is a tangible reality for every customer who comes into one of our Van Centres.”
Douglas said: “Having worked with Rob since I joined Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles last year, he has been a great support to me and been responsible for driving innovation and raising standards across the network.
“I am pleased to see him step up and adopt new responsibilities in this crucial network-facing role.”
