What Van? has announced a new partner for the most coveted independent accolades in the light commercial vehicle industry.
Allstar, the UK’s leading fuel card supplier for LCV and passenger car fleets, will make its debut as the event’s sponsor on the 15 December when a top quality London venue will host the 2016 What Van? Awards.
Allstar fuel cards are accepted by all major UK fuel brands including the leading supermarket chains.
“We’re delighted to be partnering What Van? in these awards that celebrate the best in the light commercial vehicle world,” said Allstar managing director Pete Bridgen. “This joining together of two market-leading, respected and well-known brands gives us the chance to help support and recognise the best products and services in the UK light commercial arena.”
Last year, the new baby van in Ford’s fleet, the Transit Courier was crowned Van of the Year for 2015, succeeding its stablemate, the Transit Custom medium van, which had scooped the prize for the previous two years.
Ford took a total of four awards last year, with the Transit Connect and Ranger models both winning their sectors, while the Vauxhall Vivaro and Renault Trafic siblings each picked up a pair of awards. Mercedes, Iveco, Volkswagen and Tevo were also among the prize winners.
With a raft of new market entrants, it will be fascinating to see whether another manufacturer can break the Blue Oval’s stranglehold on the top Award in 2016.
