Designed as a ‘one-stop shop’ for light commercials — and not just Renaults — the Pro+ sites will pledge to start diagnosing problems within an hour of vehicles arriving on site without an appointment, and offer extended servicing hours, expert sales staff with expertise in finance, a larger demonstration fleet than is offered currently and arrangement of a suitable courtesy vehicle if needed. Each site will also have an eight-tonne lift enabling the servicing of larger vehicles. That’s in preparation for the next generation Master due to arrive in the UK in Q1 2010 with a 4.5t maximum gross vehicle weight.
“The eight-tonne capacity means we can service every make and product on the market,” said Paul Guiver, who is responsible for the UK launch of Pro+. “The challenge is to win aftersales business from every make and model. Companies that run fleets of vehicles are looking for solutions for their business and we’ll offer a simple one-stop for servicing. We’ve extended servicing times by offering out-of-hours appointments. For business customers the vehicle is a tool so it’s important that any down-time is minimised.”
