Vauxhall has signed a one-year deal to supply six vans to the British Superbike Championship (BSB) as its commercial vehicle partner.
The vans – four Movanos and two Vivaros – will provide track and offsite support during the season, which starts on 31 March at Donnigton Park.
Vauxhall’s vans will replace a fleet of Nissan NV400s, which were previously used by the series. Nissan used to supply both cars and vans to the championship, but the Vauxhall agreement only covers vans.
“We are delighted to announce this partnership with BSB and are looking forward to providing them with vans for the forthcoming season,” said Steve Bryant, Vauxhall’s head of commercial vehicle brand. “The Movano and Vivaro vans not only look great but will provide fantastic load-lugging capability both on and off the track.”
British Superbike Championship series director Stuart Higgs added: “We are delighted to welcome the Vauxhall brand to the series. The fleet will help with on-track logistics.”
To mark the deal, Billy McConnell and James Rispoli, from Team Quattro Plant FS-3 Kawasaki, were invited to Vauxhall’s plant in Luton for the handover.
