Cardiff VW dealer Volkswagen Van Centre has got together with Tui Motor Caravans of Doncaster to create a vehicle that's purpose-built for motorcycle racers. Designed for use as a mobile base for weekend race meetings, the Crafter Race Home can carry two motor bikes or a quad bike.

It features a garage area with checker-plated flooring plus a grp lining for the walls and ceiling. Anchorage points for the bikes are provided along with storage space for tools and fuel.

The curved kitchen comes with a three-burner gas hob with a grill, a microwave oven and a fridge. In the sleeping quarters you'll find a pull-out double bed and another high-level double bed, plus a shower and a toilet.

All the furniture is hand-built, the upholstery is leather, double-glazed windows are fitted throughout, blinds and a flyscreen are installed too, and so is a heating system.

“We wanted to develop a durable but luxurious vehicle with a bespoke design built to the highest standard,” says Volkswagen Van Centre Cardiff managing director, David Pugh-Jones. “Crafter Race Home is the culmination of 12 months of detailed research.”

Based on a 136 bhp 2.5-litre diesel long-wheelbase high roof Crafter van, the Race Home will set you back £39,995 plus VAT. It has already appeared at a number of motocross events and is scheduled to pop up at British Enduro Championship meetings all over the UK during the rest of the year.
