Go compare with new van insurance channel

Supermarket-backed financial search engine Tescocompare.com has launched a van insurance channel. The new service allows light commercial owners to compare over 300 insurance deals from 17 brokers.

Users can compare fully-comprehensive, third party, fire and theft and third-party-only quotes at the click of a button without having to re-enter their details. Furthermore, every van owner applying for a quote automatically qualifies for a free legal expenses insurance policy worth £25, even if they don’t end up buying their van cover through the comparison site.

The channel includes tips on cutting premiums, including:

— Some insurers may match your car insurance no-claims bonus when quoting for van insurance, so don’t forget to enter it along with your other details.

— If you intend to keep tools or goods in your van, then make sure they are included under your light commercial policy. You may need to take out separate cover to protect them.
