It's a life on the ocean wave for Daily

Date: Wednesday, July 9, 2008

A heavily modified Iveco Daily 4x4 has successfully crossed the Corsica Channel, which separates Corsica from Italy. It took nearly 14 hours to complete the 140km voyage.

Iveco senior vice president, special vehicles, Roberto Cibrario was on board alongside Milan-born engineer Maurizio Zanisi, who carried out the necessary conversion work. Changes to make the experimental Daily Terramare seaworthy included the fitment of a steel hull and a waterjet propulsion system and the installation of supplementary fuel tanks.
