Vito makes it a clean sweep at Scarab

Date: Monday, October 1, 2007

Road-sweeper supplier Scarab has acquired seven well equipped, long-bodied Mercedes-Benz Vito 115CDIs for use by its national service support team.

Supplied through Sittingbourne dealer Sparshatts of Kent, they are all 150hp automatics and boast climate control and cruise control. Scarab has specified a comfort pack with the vehicles which means they all feature a soft-touch dash and tinted glass among other extras.

Elsewhere, Ski Tyres is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the acquisition of a trio of 311CDI medium-wheelbase high roof Sprinter vans. That brings the total number of Sprinters run by the mobile fitting business to 25; one for each year it's been trading.

The newcomers to what is an all-Sprinter van fleet were sourced through Gloucester Mercedes-Benz dealer Mudie-Bond. “We chose the high roof because the extra overhead clearance is useful to us when we need to carry big tyres for earthmovers and farm machinery,” says Ski general manager Edward Kusznierski, the son of the firm's founder.
