The end of white van man?

The white van man stereotype is becoming obsolete, according to the boss of a sales and leasing firm that provides a “pimping service” to customers who want to soup up their vans with accessories and different colours.

Richard Bunn, who heads up White Hot Vans, said there is increasing demand for brightly-coloured vans kitted out with alloy wheels, blue tooth, sat nav and USB ports.

“It’s a different world now from when we had the typical old white van man and we provide vans which reflect this,” said Bunn.

“Tradesmen virtually live in their vans - essentially it’s the office as well - and the van is becoming more important in selling and branding a company’s services. Overall the quality of commercial vehicles is becoming better and better,”

As well as in-cab equipment, White Hot Vans provides, livery, exterior ladders and load bay racking and storage equipment at trade prices.
