Global vehicle rental company Sixt has appointed Yvonne Gabler as managing director for of its van and truck division in the UK.
Gabler took the helm in May 2025, succeeding David Saint who had led the UK business for the previous four years.
Gabler, who has more than a decade of experience in the automotive and mobility sector, has relocated from Germany to Scotland to take up her new role.
Dr Peter Beermann, executive vice president Sixt Van and Truck, said: “Yvonne has a deep understanding of our business and a proven track record of driving growth through innovation and leadership. Her appointment marks an exciting step forward for Sixt Van and Truck in the UK.
“I’m confident she will lead the team to even greater success and I’m personally happy to see such a strong female leader from within our own ranks take on this important role.”
Gabler began her career at Sixt Leasing in 2012 and has since progressed through a series of strategic leadership roles.
“Sixt is already the most innovative player in the mobility market when considering hiring a car,” said Gabler. “We want to achieve the same level of brand recognition in the UK when hiring commercial vehicles.”
