Mitsubishi plays the numbers game with L200

Date: Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Thanks to judicious tweaking the manual version of Mitsubishi's L200 pick-up now emits only 225g/km of CO2, just beating the new £25 London congestion charge for the highest polluting vehicles.

The higher charge for vehicles emitting more than 225g/km CO2 is due to come in to force on 6 October, but the change to Mitsubishi's range is with immediate effect. The pick-up will still be charged, but at the current lower £8 per day rate.

Mitsubishi has also announced it will be offering higher levels of trim specification on the Warrior and Animal L200 variants. The former now comes with cruise control, body-coloured wheelarches and a new seat fabric design, while the latter offers DVD sat nav, Bluetooth and a six-disc CD autochanger.
