Navara is Europe's best-selling pick-up

Date: Monday, March 5, 2007

Nissan's Navara was the best-selling pick-up in Europe in 2006, its first full year of sales, with 45,200 registrations giving it 25 per cent of the market. Add to that the 13,000 sales scored by the D22 pick-up and the company's share reached 32 per cent.

Navara is the top selling model in its class in Spain — where it is made — France, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.

Production at the Nissan Motor Iberica plant in Barcelona has now topped 100,000, with demand additionally fuelled by sales to customers in South Africa, Australia and other far-flung countries.
