New livery for Kwik-Fit mobile van fleet

Date: Wednesday, April 4, 2007

Kwik-Fit has unveiled an all-new look as part of a re-brand for its mobile operation. The blue, white and yellow logo makes its debut on 23 recently purchased Mercedes Sprinters.

The new vans incorporate all the latest tyre-changing technology, installed by Qi Van Systems, the Midlands-based van racking and storage specialists.

The vehicles are fitted with Pang wheel balancers, tyre removers and air jacks, together with Syncro racking and storage units and a Winton concealed PTO-driven compressor. Further modifications include a mid bulkhead, split-level storage for tyres and a computer table and electrics in the cab.

Operations boss Simon Lucas said the fast-fit firm is keen to promote mobile fitting to businesses, stressing the service offers “maximum convenience and minimum vehicle downtime”.

Lucas also believes the mobile fitting arm of Kwik-Fit will continue to expand as “time pressure on business drivers coupled with a growing focus on road safety increases, resulting in more businesses applying rigourous health and safety policies that include tyre safety checks”.
