Power-boost Rodeo on sale in UK

A 167 bhp version of the 2.5-litre diesel used in the latest Isuzu Rodeo double-cab pick-up is now available thanks to the importer's use of a Prodrive performance pack. The standard engine produces 136 bhp.

It is featured in the Rodeo Denver Max LE and the vehicle's warranty is not affected. Peak torque jumps from 217 lb/ft at 1,800rpm to 293 lb/ft at 2,200rpm and this top spec model also features 18in Shadow Chrome alloy wheels shod with 255/60 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres.

Other goodies include a soft-type front A-bar, chrome side-steps, brushed-steel door entry guards and an LE-branded load area hard-top. The load area gets a liner too.

Inside the vehicle you'll find leather seats and door inserts, a DVD sat nav system with a touchscreen, a Bluetooth kit, air-conditioning and electric windows.

Price is £19,999 on the road, excluding VAT.
