French utility vehicle manufacturer Aixam Mega has appointed Ransomes Jacobsen, which makes and distributes turf utility and light industrial vehicles, as the sole UK importer for its Mega Professional range of road-going compact LCVs.
The deal will see the Ipswich-based company market the Mega e-Worker electric truck and the Multitruck 600 diesel truck.
Ransomes Jacobsen said the vehicles can be used for waste collection, on university campuses, military bases, hotel complexes, leisure parks, airports and at manufacturing and industrial facilities.
“They are ideal for trades people of all descriptions including plumbers, builders, florists, courier companies and landscape contractors,” the importer said.

The Multitruck 600 has a payload of up to 500kg. Its official CO2 output is 117g/km.
The Mega e-Worker has a payload ranging from 631kg to 872kg and a maximum load volume of 3.5m3.
It comes in two wheelbases and is available with battery packs with outputs of 8.6kW, 11.5kW and 17.3kW, giving a range of up to 110km.
