AST to launch hardtop for NP300 Navara

Auto Styling Truckman is to launch a hardtop load cover for the new Nissan NP300 pick-up truck at the start of 2016.
AST said it designed the new hardtops with hidden bed seals to complement the lines of the new Navara exterior. All luxury hardtop models come with central locking, which AST claimed is a valuable feature for small and medium-sized businesses that require a robust and secure hardtop.
But AST emphasised that its load covers are also widely used by large fleet operators in commercial sectors such as railway track maintenance, power distribution, agriculture and construction, as well as being popular with private vehicle owners for leisure use.
Mike Wheeler, managing director of AST, said: “We are anticipating strong demand for hardtops for the new pick-up. We have been working with the new Navara to develop a hardtop that suitably complements the impressive new design of the vehicle and expect the new hardtops to appeal to a wide range of SME customers.”
According to Nissan, 60% of customers order the Navara with a hardtop load cover.
Earlier this year AST unveiled a range of commercial and leisure hardtops for the new Mitsubishi L200 Series 5 and next year it will introduce collections of hardtops for the revised Ford Ranger and new Toyota Hilux, both of which are due to be launched 2016.
