Northgate to invest £500,000 in mobile division

Vehicle hire service Northgate has announced it is investing £500,000 in new vans for its mobile technicians across the next two years.

The firm will introduce 23 new vans to its fleet. All of the vehicles will feature custom-built shelving and oil storage solutions, an upgraded workbench and new lighting.

The improvements are being made after an audit of the mobile technician vans, which identified areas for improvement.

“This investment in our frontline services with the upgraded service vehicles for our mobile technicians is a demonstration of how seriously Northgate takes customer service delivery,” said Mark Bowens, mobile operations performance manager at Northgate Vehicle Hire. “We have listened to feedback from our team of technicians on what they need day-to-day to make their jobs easier and provide the best possible service to Northgate customers”.

Northgate has also opened two new branches – in Brighton and Manchester. The Manchester branch is part of a £4million investment in the north west and includes plans to open another site in Birkenhead later this month, while the Brighton branch has created 11 new jobs.
