Volkswagen has revealed a tipper version of its Transporter medium van.

Created by conversion specialist Ingimex in partnership with the German brand, the tipper is available for both the T30 and T32 versions of the Transporter.

Known as the ‘Tip-Up’, the body offers a payload of 800kg for the T30 and 1,000kg for the T32, while a dropside body – known as the ‘Pick-Up’ - can also be optioned, increasing the payload to 1,000kg and 1,200kg respectively.

VW said the tipper chassis can also be fitted with the firm’s four- wheel drive system, increasing the versatility of the van. The Tip-Up and Pick-Ups can be ordered through the Volkswagen Van Centre network, although the firm has not released pricing or on-sale information at this stage.

“This is a fantastic development in what is a progressive and growing market for small tippers, and the award-winning Transporter,” said Nick Axtell, specialist sales manager at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. “Working with Ingimex has allowed us to complement our Engineered For You and Engineered To Go range. We are yet again creating a tailored service to help improve and progress our customers’ businesses as part of our Working With You promise.”
