Citroen has revealed prices for its new Berlingo light van range, which together with its PSA Group siblings the Peugeot Partner and Opel/Vauxhall Combo, was last month crowned International Van of the Year 2019.

Order books are open now (11 October 2018) for the van, which will arrive in UK showrooms in January. The Berlingo is available in two sizes, M and XL, and from launch power will come from a 1.5-litre Blue HDi diesel engine with outputs of 75, 100 and 130hp.

Citroen says it will add a Puretech petrol engine to the line-up later next year. The brand is offering the Berlingo in four trim levels X, Worker, Enterprise and Driver.

Entry level X models will cost £15,825 and £17,800, all prices exclude VAT, and standard equipment includes a nearside sliding door, full bulkhead, automatic headlights, hill start assist, Citroen Connect Box with Emergency and Assistance system and DAB radio with hands free Bluetooth functionality.

Worker trim derivatives are priced from £17,075 to £18,700 and in addition to X get an overload indicator, grip control with hill decent assist, mud and snow tyres, increased ground clearance (+30mm) and underbody protection. Citroen is pitching this model as the tough workhorse of the range, ideal for construction industry operators, for example.

These two specification levels are available with only the 75 and 100hp engines..

Enterprise models are priced from £17,425 to £20,350 and add standard kit such as air conditioning, rear parking sensors, eight-in colour touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple Car Play and MirrorLink, plus an automatic electronic parking brake, the Extenso modular folding seat, and front fog lights with cornering function.

Based on the Enterprise version, the new flagship Driver trim starts from £19,970 and rises to £22,970. It adds automatic windscreen wipers with Magic Wash screen wash incorporated and integrated steering wheel controls. Other features include Citroen Connect Nav with an eight-in touchscreen, the Surround Rear Vision camera and a six-way adjustable driver seat that has lumbar adjustment and under seat storage. Citroen says Driver versions are ideal for users who spend most of their working days in their vehicle, such as delivery drivers.
