New location for van-sharing service

An on-demand van sharing scheme is being piloted in Milton Keynes by vehicle rental giant Avis Budget Group and ride sharing brand ViaVan.
Eight-seater vans will be available through the ViaVan app to passengers who are matched in real time with other riders travelling in the same direction, sharing their trip in a professionally-chauffeured van.
Avis Budget Group is supplying the vans as well as a weekly mobile wash and clean service.
The Milton Keynes service follows a successful launch by ViaVan – a joint venture between Via and Mercedes-Benz Vans – in London in April.
