Used values ahead year-on-year despite November decline

Average LCV values fell for the second month running in November but remained ahead year-on-year, according to the latest BCA Commercial Pulse report.

An average overall value of £7,146 in November represented a 5.1% rise compared to the same month in 2017 but was down from £7,568 in September and £7,324 in October of this year.

BCA COO UK remarketing Stuart Pearson said: “November was another strong month for LCV sales at BCA with good levels of demand and average values well ahead year-on-year.”

Fleet and lease values averaged £8,198 in November, down from £8,324 the previous month but up 6.0% year-on-year, part-exchange values were down from £4,621 to £4,569 month-on-month but rose by a marginal 1.3% over the year while the niche nearly-new sector was up 7.2% to £16,131 year-on-year and declined by just £105 from October to November.
