Avis Budget Group launches first commercial vehicle supersite

Rental firm Avis Budget Group has opened its first ever commercial vehicle supersite.
Located in Castleford, Yorkshire, the company says the site will expand its commercial fleet network, allowing it to offer a wider range of specialised vehicles, including double- and single-cab tippers, Luton vans, box vans, dropsides and crew cabs.
It says more SME and business customers will now be able to opt for a delivery and collection service when booking through Avis UK, while Budget UK customers will pick-up directly from Castleford.
The site has facilities to store and manage more than 100 vans, and electric vehicle charging points are also being installed.
Avis Budget Group fleet and supply chain director for the UK, Norway, Sweden and Denmark James Turner said: “The opening of our new Castleford hub will enable us to expand our national fleet network, while still providing a localised, personal service to our customers.
“With a dedicated team of commercial vehicle specialists, we can ensure that the needs of our customers are met quickly and efficiently.”
