The latest in a network of van rental ‘supersites’ has been opened by Europcar Mobility Group UK.

Located at Purfleet in Essex, just inside the M25, it has capacity to hold up to 400 vehicles, and offers a wide range of vans, including dropside, short- and long-wheelbase models, and both diesel and electric power, with charging points installed to cater for the latter.

Available rental periods range from a few days to several months.

Europcar says it aims to attract business from Kent, East Anglia and Hertfordshire as well as east London, and that all its vehicles are compliant with the capital’s new Ultra Low Emission Zone.

Europcar director of commercial vehicles Stuart Russell said: “With its links to east London as well as surrounding areas, Purfleet is the ideal location for Europcar Mobility Group UK to build on our investment in supersites around the country.

“The station is strategically positioned to provide the numerous businesses trading within this area with easy access to flexible and cost-efficient transport solutions that can enable their businesses to grow.

“As investment continues within the area the businesses supporting this growth may need to upgrade their commercial vehicle fleets at short notice to deal with additional work. Or, as is often the case, businesses may need one or two additional vehicles for one individual job.

“The solutions we have available from this central hub are equally suited to fulfil both demands.”
