The Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay large van ranges have gained new Euro6.2 diesel engines and trim levels.

The sister models from the two PSA Group brands are both getting three new 2.2-litre diesel engines, offering 120hp, 140hp and 165hp.

As well as meeting the most recent emissions standard, these also offer power increases over the previous 2.0-litre engines of 10hp, 10hp and 5hp respectively.

All come with stop-start and a six-speed manual gearbox.

The revised ranges also both contain two new trim levels – Grip and Asphalt for the Boxer, and Worker and Driver for the Relay.

Equipment with the Grip and Worker trims, adapted for difficult terrain, includes Grip Control with hill descent control and all-season tyres, front and rear mud flaps and underbody protection.

Features of the Boxer Asphalt and Relay Driver include sat-nav, a lane departure warning system, speed limit recognition, automatic headlights with smart beam function, autonomous emergency braking, a reversing camera and LED daytime running lights.

Citroen has also rebranded the entry-level Relay trim level as Relay X.

Both vans now also come as standard with telematics software, allowing fleet managers to access information including fuel consumption, vehicle tracking, maintenance monitoring and eco driving tips.

The updated Boxer and Relay will be available to order from July.
