Sewer and drain repair company Colus has adopted Ctrack telematics for its fleet of more than 60 specialist commercial vehicles.

It has opted to use the Ctrack Online web-based tracking platform, and also the Driver ID system, which will enable the company to capture data for individual drivers and ensure that vehicles are only operated by authorised members of staff.

Accurate start and finish times will also be captured to verify timesheets and simplify payroll processes, while Colus will monitor usage to confirm that no private mileage is being driven, in line with company van tax requirements.

When the roll-out is finished, Colus will be able to monitor all its vehicles nationwide from its three locations in Weston-Super-Mare, Leicester, and Worcester, allowing it to send the nearest appropriate vehicle to each job.

Colus managing director Simon Aylott-Cleaver said: “We needed a telematics partner that could provide a simple-to-use vehicle tracking system, backed with high levels of service and support.

“The team at Ctrack is always on hand to give us the necessary guidance and assistance, ensuring we have a telematics solution in place that meets our precise fleet requirements and delivers clear return on investment.”

Ctrack managing director Steve Thomas said: “Our aim is to provide end-to-end support that expertly manages every aspect of a customer’s vehicle tracking system for the duration of their contract. This is the reason why a growing number of fleet operators, such as Colus, are choosing Ctrack as their telematics partner of choice and using our advanced technology solution to achieve a host of business and operational benefits."
