Renault has introduced a new off-the-shelf Dropside conversion for its Master large van.

The new conversion features 400mm high aluminium panels on each side of the vehicle, and comes with rear corner pillars, allowing a side restraint system or tail lift to be fitted, with the latter available to order direct from new.

There’s a foldaway step on the rear side panel, up to eight load anchoring points depending on vehicle length, an anti-slip wooden floor, and a cab-protecting grid with an object rack capable of storing items such as ladders.

The conversion, from converter VFS, is available with Medium, Long and Extra Long wheelbases, with up to 4,300mm of load length and up to 1,664kg of payload, and there’s also a crew cab option.

Diesel engines with 130hp, 135hp, 145hp and 150hp are available, as is front-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive, and twin-wheel rear-wheel drive versions are also available.

The Dropside joins existing Tipper, Luton Box Van and Luton Low Loaders versions of the Master in Renault’s off-the-shelf conversion range.

It is available to order directly through the Renault dealer network, and features a three-year/100,000 mile warranty.
