Renault’s Trafic medium van will gain a new, range-topping equipment grade in April.

The Black Edition starts from £27,950, excluding VAT, and features additional standard equipment, as well as black detailing.

The Renault Trafic Black Edition is powered by either the dCi 145 engine or the dCi 170. Both 2.0-litre diesel engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic gearbox, but the base 120hp engine is not available as a Black Edition.

Available in panel van and crew van versions, the Trafic Black Edition features black alloy wheels, Black Edition badging and graphics, and gloss black detailing inside and out. It’s available in a selection of exterior colours including Urban Grey, Mercury, Glacier White and Jet Black.

As standard, the Black Edition gets parking sensors, a parking camera and climate control. Optionally, buyers can add a bodykit with a lower front bumper, side skirts and roof spoiler.

Orders for the Black Edition open in April.
