FridgeXpress has added new dual evaporated refrigerated vans to its rental fleet, aimed at the pharmaceutical sector.
The Mercedes-Benz Sprinters are Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) compliant.
The conversions feature a removable mattress bulkhead, and dual refrigerated systems, allowing various medication loads to be transported at the same time.
The rear doors are modified for freeze operations, with additional temperature-control sheeting fitted and key-out temperature control, meaning that fluctuations are minimised in a door-open scenario.
The vans are available through FridgeXpress’s flexible hire solutions, including full servicing, maintenance, and repair provision as part of a single monthly rental. There is also a range of short or long-term hire contracts on offer.
FridgeXpress managing director Adam Naylor said: “We have developed these dual-evaporated Mercedes Sprinter vans alongside our pharma customers. With the ability to transport multiple loads at once, chilled medication no longer needs to be transported in a separate vehicle to those requiring sub-zero temperatures.
“Not only are medications able to be delivered more quickly, but operators are also able to halve their delivery miles at the same time. It’s a smart solution for the industry.”
