Fleet management giant Alphabet has launched a network of approved conversion suppliers for its fleet of LCVs in the UK.

Headed up by network development manager Tony Long, the new division consists of 12 convertors covering a raft of categories: internal van provision, construction body and dry freight, minibus and wheelchair accessible vehicles, welfare vehicles, refrigerated vehicles, livery and media, which specialises in van branding. 

Long said: “The new network of suppliers enables Alphabet to deliver a consistent quality and approach to service levels and assists Alphabet in providing the most appropriate solutions at competitive prices.”

Matt Sutherland, Alphabet’s chief operating officer, said the establishment of the conversion partner network was the first step in the firm’s plan to significantly grow its LCV business in the next two years, during which time it aims to double the size of its 8750-strong van fleet.

“We selected a range of highly experienced and dedicated LCV conversion suppliers, and have been able to provide them with the tools and support needed to enhance our LCV offering,”Sutherland said.

“All suppliers have an implementation plan which we will be working through together over the coming months, with this in mind we are expecting big things for 2015.”
