The facelifted Berlingo light van made its show debut on the Citroen stand alongside models from the extended Relay Ready-to-Run line-up.
The Berlingo goes on sale in July with prices, excluding VAT, ranging from £12,515 to £15,015. Initially there will be a choice of Euro5 HDi 75 and 90hp diesel engines as well as Euro6 VTi 95 petrol and Blue HDi 100 and 120hp diesel powertrains but the Euro5 units, which were the models displayed at the NEC, will be phased out in May 2016.
A spokesman for Citroen says the switch from Euro5 to Euro6 engines delivers an 86% reduction in NoX emissions.
Citroen claims the Berlingo offers the widest range of factory variants in its class and the revised model is available in two panel van lengths, three trim levels (X, LX, Enterprise), with XTR+ enhanced traction, as an electric van, a crew van and a platform cab. It is also up for grabs with stop&start, manual five and six-speed gearboxes and Citroen’s ETG6 semi-auto transmission.
The greenest version will be the BlueHDi 100 S&S ETG6 L1 625 LX model with official combined cycle fuel consumption of 68.9mpg and CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
Externally, revised Berlingo vans have a redesigned grille and front bumper, and are available with an optional Look Pack, featuring LED daytime-running lights.
Inside both LX and Enterprise trim levels now have cruise control and a programmable speed limiter as standard while Enterprise specification has been enhanced with the inclusion of a seven-inch touchscreen with mirror screen technology and an upgraded DAB audio system.
Options include front parking sensors, a reversing camera and a colour touchscreen with audio streaming.
All Berlingo panel vans are fitted, as standard, with Teletrac Smartnav satellite navigation and Trackstar stolen vehicle tracking. Enterprise packs will be available for LX models but not X base derivatives.
Citroen has extended its Relay Ready-to-Run range from four to six models. The new additions are the Relay 35 L3 HDi 130 six-speed manual Enterprise Crew Cab Dropside (£25,985, excluding VAT) and the Relay 35 Heavy L4 HDi 130 six-speed manual Enterprise Dropside (£25,835, excluding VAT).
