Toyota used this year’s CV Show to launch its Trade Plus Programme of approved conversions.
The line-up includes a tipper built by Bristol’s TGS Group on a Hilux Extra Cab (pictured), a refrigerated Proace converted by Coolkit of Burnley to chilled specifications, and a load area racking package for Proace courtesy of Bri-Stor of Hixon in Staffordshire.
Toyota light commercial vehicle manager, Gareth Matthews, is pleased with the progress the company is making in the LCV sector.
“The latest Proace got off to a slightly slow start though,” he admitted. “There was a bit of a pause initially because we wanted to be sure that the quality was where we wanted it to be.
“However, we’ve now got the full range available and that includes a 3.1t platform cab.
“That could give us the scope to offer a dropside or maybe a small box van,” he concluded.
