Prices start from £17,495, excluding VAT, for the SWB 250 Base 100hp single cab model and rise to £25,245 for the LWB 330 Limited 155hp double cab version.
In LWB guise prices start from £19,545 for the 290 Base 100hp single cab while double cab vans are priced from £19,645 for the SWB 270 Base.
The Transit Custom is powered by Ford’s 2.2-litre TDCi diesel engine developing 100hp, 125hp or 155hp. It is offered in three trim levels, Base, Trend and Limited and all models come with a low roof.
The Custom is also available as a nine-seat Kombi in both short and long wheelbase and as an eight-seat Tourneo minibus.
Ford claimed the Custom delivers best-in-class load volume of 6.0m3 in SWB guise increasing to 6.8m3 for the LWB version.
The new van has payloads ranging from 871kg to 1200kg and braked trailer towing weights of 2000kg to 2250kg. Load lengths go from 2555mm to 2922mm, although an extra 530mm is available with the load-through bulkhead. Official fuel consumption on the combined cycle is 42.8mpg for the SWB model and 42.1mpg for the longer bodied van, with CO2 emissions at 178g/km and 183g/km respectively.
