Under the agreement, Ford has given access to the vans' CanBus coding information, which allows Cybit's software to interface with the existing Ford CanBus systems. This, coupled to GPS tracking, will allow fleet managers signing up to the service to monitor both the position and mechanical condition of their vans.
Ford teams up with Cybit in telematics deal
Telematics specialist Cybit has signed a deal to supply Ford with a bespoke system for its fleet customers. Operating under the Ford Fleet Telematics banner, the system will initially offer tracking on Transit and Transit Connect light commercials
