Prices start at £13,998, excluding VAT, which Great Wall claimed is the lowest for any double cab pick-up on the UK market.
The Steed is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a six-speed gearbox with selectable, on the move two and four wheel drive.
Great Wall said the Steed would deliver class-leading urban fuel economy and the lowest insurance ratings in the pick-up segment and promised further details closer to launch.
The model will be sold through a newly established network of 40 Great Wall dealerships.
