Isuzu has launched a limited edition D-max pick-up truck to mark the company’s 100th anniversary.
Named the Centurion, the manufacturer has restricted the production run to just 100 models.
The Centurion is priced £30,999, excluding VAT, and includes £11,000 worth of extra specification, making it the most lavishly specced D-max to date, according to Isuzu.
The 2.5-litre 163hp double-cab Centurion comes with the brand’s five-speed auto transmission and returns an official 38.7mpg. All models are finished in “Fjord blue”.
The exterior features new 19-inch black and silver Hurricane alloys fitted with Pirelli Scorpion Zero tyres as well as front and rear spoiler fitments.
Isuzu claimed stainless steel side bars and sidesteps along with black and silver roof bars add practicality and convenience as well as enhancing the pick-up’s visual appeal. The load bed comes with an Alpha Sports tonneau cover with remote tailgate locking. LED headlamps incorporate daytime running lights and fog lamps integrated into the front bumper.
The interior includes leather seats, front centre armrest and steering wheel and the front and rear door entry guards display an illuminated Isuzu logo.
The Centurion’s cabin is kitted out with an Alpine in-car entertainment system accessed through an eight-inch touch-screen display, while audio output is delivered through six Alpine speakers. Rear get a drop-down, ceiling-mounted 10.2-inch Alpine monitor, with two wireless headphone sets for DVDs. A rear parking camera displays its image within the rear view mirror when reversing.
In common with the rest of the D-max range in the UK, the Centurion comes with Isuzu’s five-year / 125,000 mile warranty.
The vehicle went on sale on 9 April, the 100th day of the year and every Centurion features a plaque numbered 1-100.
