MAN has secured a major van fleet deal with utility network construction company Energy Assets Utilities (EAU).
It will see 33 MAN TGE vans joining the firm’s fleet at its Alva base in Scotland, to be followed by a further 40 vans for operations in England and Wales.
The Euro 6-compliant diesel vans, with equipment including sat-nav, vehicle tracking, reversing cameras and sensors and speed limiters, will support construction at residential and commercial developments.
EAU managing director in Scotland Steven Lynch said: “We are committed to investing in technologies that improve the service we provide to customers, whether on-or-off site.
“These new vehicles are more energy efficient and include on-board systems that will improve both operational effectiveness and the safety of our people, which in turn will support our reliability and quality commitments to our growing customer base.”
MAN UK head of van retail sales Andrew Taylor said: “Forming part of EAU’s business growth programme, the new vehicles will be maintained nationwide by the dedicated MAN commercial vehicle dealer network.
“Our commitment to EAU, like all our customers, is to ensure we maximise vehicle uptime and deliver a robust, efficient and trustworthy fleet.”
