Land Rover has introduced a facelifted version of its Discovery Commercial.

Among the updates is a new mild hybrid 300hp diesel engine, featuring a 48V system which assists the engine when accelerating and helps smooth out stop-start operation.

Official WLTP fuel economy and CO2 emissions figures are 31.9mpg and 232g/km respectively.

Other updates for the Discovery Commercial include an enhanced fixed load space partition, designed to improve rear visibility and offer three stowage areas in a new central section.

Exterior styling changes include new LED headlights and tail lights, a new grille design and new front and rear bumpers.

The load space measures 2,024 litres, and while Land Rover says the model is designed to be nearly indistinguishable from the Discovery passenger car, rear privacy glass is standard to hide the contents of the load bay from view.

Maximum payload is 784kg, and there’s a 3,500kg towing capacity.

The cabin features Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro infotainment system, with an 11.4in touchscreen and over-the-air software updates.

Two trim levels are available. Features with entry-level SE spec include an interactive driver display, 3D surround camera, two-zone climate control, 18-way electrically adjustable seats, keyless entry, an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror, and treadplates with metal inserts.

Further equipment with HSE spec includes 20-way adjustable cooled seats, a drive assist pack, and matrix LED headlights with signature DRLs.

Prices for the updated Discovery Commercial start at £48,762, excluding VAT.
