Ford has launched a new package of digital services for commercial vehicles under its Ford Pro division, including software, charging, servicing, and finance.
According to Ford, its customer research found that operators wanted a single, integrated solution linking all aspects of fleet management for maximum efficiency.
Ford Pro software is designed to provide a connected digital ecosystem using live data from vehicles, including location, health alerts, and driver monitoring.
The system also has dedicated features for electric vehicles, including current charging status, state of charge, and remaining range.
The Ford Pro telematics system also features multi-make compatibility, meaning it can also be used with non-Ford vehicles.
The Ford Pro charging offering includes both hardware installation and management software, and has been designed to work seamlessly with the new electric E-Transit.
As for servicing, Ford Pro links connected vehicle data to its dealer network for the purpose of maximising uptime, while the Ford Pro finance offering includes the purchase and lease financing of vehicles with combined billing, commercial lines of credit, online account management and the option to work with a finance expert, with the service designed for small- and medium-sized fleets.
Ford Pro CEO Ted Cannis said: “We are entering the always-on digital age, and running a fleet has never been more complex. Ford Pro makes it easy for businesses to boost their productivity, with a one-stop-shop solution delivered by a brand they can trust.”
The launch of Ford Pro services ties in with the arrival of the new E-Transit, for which prices in the UK start at £47,700 excluding VAT.
