Nissan has confirmed UK prices for its new Townstar compact van.
The model will be available with either petrol or electric power, the former with a 1.3-litre, 130hp engine, and the latter with a 122hp motor and a 45kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 183 miles on the WLTP combined cycle.
There will be a choice of short- or long-wheelbase versions, with a maximum payload of 600kg and 800kg respectively, and a maximum braked towing capacity of 1,500kg.
There will also be a choice of four trim levels – Visia, Acenta, Tekna, and Tekna+.
Prices for a petrol Townstar, excluding VAT, start at £19,475 for a short-wheelbase Visia, and riseas high as £24,425 for a long-wheelbase Tekna+.
Prices for an electric Townstar, excluding VAT and the UK Government’s plug-in van grant, start at £29,945 for a short-wheelbase Visia, and rise as high as £35,845 for a long-wheelbase Tekna+.
Pre-orders will open on 22 August, with the official start of sales coming on 1 October for the petrol version, and 1 December for the EV.
