One in five vans on UK roads are operated by BVLRA members, following a 9% increase in the number of LCVs operated by its members in 2015.
According to the rental body, its membership grew to 780 members last year– a rise of 100 compared to 2014. The BVRLA claimed its members are responsible for one in every nine cars and one in five vans currently on the road.
“We were delighted to welcome more than 100 new members in 2015, a clear reflection of both the health of our sector and the vital role the BVRLA plays in helping these companies to operate in an increasingly regulated environment,” said BVRLA chief executive, Gerry Keaney.
“We will be working harder than ever in 2016 as we tackle the issues faced by our expanding and diverse membership,” he added.
