Peugeot is to launch an Expert Sport Edition in the new year as the flagship of its medium van range.

Prices for the model, which will be available as a panel van and crew van, will range from £29,460 to £35,880, excluding VAT.

The Expert Sport Edition versions will be positioned above the Asphalt variants and will boast additional equipment such as 17-inch alloy wheels, sports decals on the sides and rear of the van and dual-zone automatic air conditioning. Expert Sport Edition vans will be available in three colours, grey, white and black. All models will be based on the standard wheelbase Expert.

The first models to reach showrooms will be the panel van Sport Edition BlueHDi 120 S&S 6-speed manual 1400 and the crew van Sport Edition BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual 1400.

The former will be powered by the Euro 6.2-compliant BlueHDi diesel engine, delivering 120hp at 3,750rpm and 340Nm of torque at 2,000rpm while the latter will be powered by the uprated Euro 6.2 BlueHDi diesel engine producing 148hp at 4,000rpm and 370Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.

Payload and load volume remain the same as for other Expert models. The panel van Sport Edition will carry a maximum of 1,458kg with 5.3m3 of load volume that can be extended to 5.8m3 with the Moduwork seat folded.

The crew van Sport Edition 6-speed manual offers a payload of 1,308kg and load volume of 3.2m3.

Two additional models will join the line-up later. The panel van Sport Edition BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT8 Auto 1200 and the crew van Sport Edition BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT8 Auto 1200.

Both models get the most powerful version of the 1,997cc Euro 6.2 BlueHDi turbo-diesel engine, producing 174hp at 3,750rpm and 400Nm of torque at 2,000rpm.

Both models will be equipped with the EAT8 eight-speed automatic transmission as standard.
