Mercedes-Benz has announced range updates for its eVito electric van.

The model gains upgrades previously added to the diesel Vito range earlier this year, while a revised line-up means the previously higher-spec Progressive trim level is now the entry-level option.

This comes with standard equipment including DAB radio, a reversing camera, an anti-theft Protection Package with double locks, a new-style grille with chrome fins, and a Type 2, 8m 32amp charging cable.

Also standard is Mercedes Pro Connect, with free access to Optimised Assistance giving giving real-time reports of critical parts and fluids, journey logs, theft warning alerts, live locking from a mobile phone, geofencing, accident and breakdown management, live traffic information, heater pre-conditioning, and nearby vehicle charging options.

The Plus Package model then adds further equipment including electrically foldable mirrors, colour-coded bumpers, full wheel covers, a 75mph speed limiter, and Parktronic parking sensors.

The eVito, which is available in a choice of two vehicle lengths, comes with an 85kW electric motor, and a 92-mile driving range on the WLTP cycle.

Prices start at £40,895 for Progressive trim, while Plus Package models start at £42,015.

Prices exclude VAT, and also exclude the UK Government’s plug-in van grant.
