Bradfield College has electrified its maintenance fleet with support from leasing company Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS) Fleet.

Having adopted a gradual transition since 2019, the school now has 24 electric maintenance vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz eVitos and Nissan e-NV200s.

The electrification process is now set to move on to the school’s cars and minibuses.

Bradfield College procurement manager Toby Ellis said: “As part of the college’s sustainability vision, we needed to address the role of transport, and how best to move away from diesel- and petrol-powered vehicles and embrace the advantages of electric.

“By tapping into VWFS Fleet’s expertise and working closely with our account manager, Hallam Smith, I’m delighted to say we’re making excellent progress.

“When selecting the vehicles to replace our maintenance fleet, VWFS Fleet’s multi-marque service ensured we had a good choice of vehicles and were able to find the right vehicles to suit our particular needs – without having to use multiple leasing providers. Additionally, with all service, maintenance and repair needs bundled into our overall monthly lease agreement, I know I won’t face any unexpected costs.”
