Stiltz Homelifts has installed Trakm8 telematics with its 71-strong vehicle fleet.
The deployment consists of the RH600 dashcam, along with Trakm8 Optimisation, the company’s route-planning, delivery management and vehicle dashboard platform.
Among the applications of the system for Stiltz, whose fleet is used by builders, installers and engineers working in customers’ homes, is the implementation of a driver incentive programme, rewarding consistently high performance with retail vouchers.
Stiltz fleet operations manager Richard Hurst said: “Increasingly our stakeholders, which include insurers, senior management and customers, are demanding a continuously high-quality service from our fleet and delivering on that means turning to a reliable, established telematics partner such as Trakm8.
“With the new system, we have a thorough overview of our fleet’s health and a comprehensive set of indicators on driver behaviour, delivering us, as fleet managers, complete peace of mind.
“With the RH600 and Trakm8 Optimisation, we can get real-time access to vehicle footage through the incredibly easy to use interface, in some cases just minutes after a driving incident.
“This has allowed us to protect our drivers against spurious claims. We also expect it to reduce our insurance premiums and expenditure related to driving incidents and vehicle maintenance, while encouraging our field teams to develop safer driving habits.”
Trakm8 group marketing director Peter Mansfield said: “We’re extremely pleased to be working with Stiltz Homelifts to bring the benefits of our telematics technology to their business and customers.
“This is an opportunity for improvements in several areas, from driver safety and fuel usage to maintenance costs, which will be felt throughout the entire business.”
