Vehicle conversion firm Voyager Multi-Purpose Vehicles has ordered 50 Vauxhall Vivaro Combi models to adapt for use as wheelchair-accessible taxis.
The Vivaro Combi offers seating for nine occupants across three rows and also features twin sliding side-access doors, making it suitable for minibus and private hire applications.
Voyager is carrying out the conversions at its Crewe facility and said the nine-seat, wheelchair-accessible taxis were approved to European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval standards.
